Fred E. Glickman

Fred E. Glickman concentrates in Wills, Trusts, Estates, Probate, Guardianship, and Litigation in these fields, including Partition of Real Estate. He has practiced in these and other areas of the law for over 40 years.  He has argued cases in the Florida District Court of Appeal, the Florida Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals. He has the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the national rating agency for lawyers. According to Martindale-Hubbell, this rating is "a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence." He is a Past President of the South Miami-Kendall Bar Association.  He is also member of the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section.

Fred has received awards from the South Miami-Kendall Bar Association for providing legal services free of charge to those unable to pay for them. Fred has a 4.9 rating on Avvo, a lawyer directory service. He is listed on Lawyers of Distinction. Fred was selected for membership by Lawyers of Distinction based on his legal experience, educational background, client reviews, honors, awards, professional activities, and community service.

Fred received his Law Degree from Columbia Law School and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Dartmouth College, where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

Fred and his wife have three adult children and six grandchildren. For recreation, he enjoys bicycling and canoeing.

Since 2002, he has participated nearly every year in the MS Ride, a two-day, long-distance bike ride that raises money for multiple sclerosis research and treatment, averaging 125 miles per ride. Because of his success as a fund-raiser, the National MS Society has honored Fred by making him a Club151 member.

 

Merina J. Cage

Merina J. Cage is an associate attorney who handles matters related to Wills, Trusts, Estates, Probate, Guardianship, and Litigation in these fields, including Partition of Real Estate. Before being hired as an Associate, Merina worked for the firm as a Legal Assistant for almost eight years.

Merina graduated from Florida International University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in International Relations, and graduated with magna cum laude honors. After finishing her bachelor’s degree in two and a half years, she was admitted to St. Thomas University College of Law where she obtained a Juris Doctorate degree with cum laude honors.

During law school, Merina completed over 50 hours of pro bono work, where she assisted a Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge with family law proceedings, and volunteered with the Volunteered Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, which provides free income tax return preparation to those in need. She received the “Book Award,” earning the highest grade in her Essay Writing class.

Merina is a member of the Young Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar.

She is conversational in Spanish.
